5.2 miles (8.4 km) 405 metres climb

Fast and undulating

Race starts at 7:30 pm.  Be there from before 7 pm in order to register for the race.

 

Enter Castlewellan Forest Park from the main street of Castlewellan at

grid reference 341 363.  Follow main road in for 800 metres & turn

left at the T junction.  Turn left again in 200 metres into the main car park.

 

Registration is in Castlewellan Centre, accessible from the courtyard.

 

Start is at about 334 368 with the route varying a bit each year.  It goes N & then climbs

Slievenaslat.  Then it descends to the Castle and does a tour to the West end of  the lake (with a bit of a climb in that part as well).
