Belfast Hills Events

In recent times there has been a lot of work to open up the Belfast Hills.  This includes new trails and facilities.  This has led to a surge in popularity with more and more people discovering that it is possible to enjoy a few hours in the wilderness close to the main city.  In keeping with this new found enthusiasm there will be two events on this years hill running calendar.

Chain Reaction Cycles Belfast Hills 10K

This coming Saturday the North Belfast Harriers, in conjunction with Chain Reaction Cycles, are running a 10K race in Cavehill Country Park.  This will be a fast race on runnable ground with enough hill to satisfy the climbing lust in all of us.  This will be the third race in the NIMRA Grand Prix.  For more details see the events section.

Divis Mountain 10K

In July Action On Hearing Loss are running a 10K race on Divis mountain.  Divis is the most iconic of the Belfast Hills and should provide for some good racing.  Full details including a course map can be found in the events section.
