“Blue Moon Walk” up Slieve Donard to support the “Mourne Mountain Rescue Team”

Friday 31st July sees a “Blue Moon”, which is, the second full moon in the same calendar month. To celebrate this rare event, we have decided to walk from Donard Park to the top of Slieve Donard, where we intend to enjoy light refreshments & hopefully view this spectacle (weather permitting).

This is not an organised walk, nor is it a race! However we are taking this opportunity to raise funds for the “Mourne Mountain Rescue Team” and hope to have a representative from the Team to collect any donations from participants.

If you are interested in joining us we will be leaving Donard Park Car park at c10pm and expect to return to the car park at c1am.

Please note we ask that all participants are fully self supported and have the necessary ability, skill and equipment to undertake this “night time” walk.
