Monument Race Preview

This Thursday (22nd of May) sees the 7th round of the 11 race Acheson & Glover Hill & Dale series. The race starts from the main car park in Tollymore Forest at 7:30pm. This is a new course. However, I suspect some of the features of the old Whiteplains race to be included.

Ballymenas Sharon McBurney in her first mountain running season, will secure the ladies title with a perfect 6 points if she wins the race. However, the destination of the men?s title is still no clearer, Neil Carty is the current favorite with three wins and a second place, but the Newcastle pair of Deon McNeilly (1 win, 2 seconds) and Robbie Bryson (2 wins) will challenge if they complete enough races.

Newcastle Ac, will be back in full force this week after a successfully trip the 3rd round of the British Championship at Moel Eilio (North Wales), where after three races and three vet team wins they now looks odds on to secure the British Championships vet team prize.
