World Masters Champion Robin Bryson and former NI Champion Deon McNeilly head the local challenge in the second round of the British Championship in the Scottish Highlands. The Newcastle AC pair are both now competing in the over 40 category and with back up from three time British veterans Champion Jim Patterson and Scottish based Dermot McGonigle, the Newcastle club have a formidable veterans team.

They were top veterans team at the British Championship opener on home soil at Slieve Bearnagh 4 weeks ago and will be aim for a repeat performance on Saturday when they take on English rivals Clayton Le Moors and Carnethy Hill Runners of Scotland. The Stuc A Chroin event is one of the toughest of the six race series covering a distance of 15 miles with 5,000 feet of climb and over 300 runners will be competing.
