Tollymore Preview

Thu 10 April 2003 - Simon Taylor

Tomorrow night sees the second round of the Acheson & Glover Hill & Dale series, starting from the Tollymore mountain centre at 7:30

The race starts with a few minutes of downhill running to Parnell?s Bridge. Regular Hill & Dale runners will know that this isn good as it means there will be nasty sting in the tail at the end! After the fast start there are about 2 significant climbs around the Drins.

With most of the Newcastle Team sitting out last week in preparation for the Bearnagh race, they will be eager to stamp their authority on the series. Deon McNeilly who is the only winner over this course will be looking to extend his streak and will start as favorite.

Ballymena Runners Sharon McBurney should be unchallenged in the ladies race with the main aim to beat Shileen OKanes 2 year old course record of 37:11.
