Championship Format Meeting

NIMRA members will be aware that we are holding a meeting to discuss the current Championship format on Wednesday, 27 April at 8 pm in Athletics House, Mary Peters Track, South Belfast. Two resolutions will be debated on whether to change to a 5 out of 9 format for this year or to keep the current format of 4 out of 6, with the possibility of a change next year. A Grand Prix series in addition to the current format but extending over all races has also been proposed.

Non-NIMRA athletes are welcome to attend and speak but only NIMRA members can vote. Members will have already received a letter giving details of the resolutions. Most of these letters arrived last week but some members were late paying subscriptions so have only just received theirs. A small number were even later paying and will receive details in the next few days. If you have no letter by next Monday please contact me directly.

We expect to have a useful debate which will help NIMRA to see the best way forward for promoting the development of mountain running . Please come and make your contribution to the discussion.
