Championship Positions
Sat 11 June 2005 - Ian Taylor
After four out of six races, Championship positions have been updated. The regular triumvirate of Deon, Neil and Brian are at the top but recent successes by the young turks of ACKC suggest that this may not last. Fourth is Gary Bailey with Eddie Hanna fifth and a potential healthy total of 44 runners still able to complete the championship.
The situation is rather different in the ladies. Its good to see ten contenders for points but only Anne can complete and hence win the Championship as others have missed out on either a short or long race.
The junior section is neck & neck between old hand Jonathan McCloy of Mid-Ulster and new discovery Christopher Muldoon of Armagh, both having a best counting score of 115 points.
Note that some of the runners included are not NIMRA members and are shown to encourage their participation. In the final results non-members are excluded. Also, with two short and two long races completed, total points are shown for all four races but the order listed depends on the best three as a fourth race must come from the medium events in July or August.
