NIMRA Committee

Wed 23 March 2005 - Ian Taylor

The NIMRA committee, at its meeting on 21 March 2005, reviewed current issues around the 2005 Championship in response to comments from members.

The Committee recognises that some members may prefer an extended format or ranking series and would welcome the views of members on a Grand Prix style competition, in addition to the NI Championship, encompassing many or all of the 2005 mountain races for which NIMRA issues permits.

The Committee reviewed and confirmed the original decision, made in September 2004, to have a four out of six format for the NI Championship in 2005. Further, the committee felt that with one Championship race already completed, it would be inappropriate to change the rules now that the Championship has started.

The committee also decided to bring forward the date of the 2005 AGM to early in October. At such an AGM the format of the 2006 Championship would be an agenda item.
