Navigation Day
Mon 18 June 2007 - Ian Taylor
Earlier this year a successful navigation day was held, giving
participants practice in the theory and application of navigation in
the hills. Not entirely successful, some might comment after the
debacle of the Slieve loughshannagh Race!
A second navigation day is proposed for next Sunday, 24 June based at
Meelmore Lodge. It will be primarily a practical session with
participants finding checkpoints and choosing routes between
them. Start times willl be between 11 am and 12 noon.
If you are interested, please contact Jim Hayes or Ian Taylor by next
Thursday at the latest. If there is insufficient interest there
will be no event. Jim Hayes can be contacted at 9187 2802 and Ian
Taylor at 9028 0790 or using the NIMRA email address run
at nimra.org.uk with
