Update Information
Sat 10 March 2007 - Ian Taylor
Race records have now been updated to include any records set to
date. The current list can be viewed by selecting calendar above.
Hill & Dale records give the best time regardless of the
route direction. A few records and dates are not known to me - if
you can fill in any blanks please do so.
For the
Championship races in 2007, the scoring system has been
moved up by 50, so that the winner gets 100 points, second 99 points
etc. In previous years some competing athletes received no points
if they finished in 51st place or below. This will make no
difference to the leading championship positions. Categoriy
positions are worked out separately.
In the
Grand Prix series points in up to any 6 out of the 11
races will be counted, with the winner getting 100 points, second 99
etc. There will be no separate category list with category
winners identified from the overall list. The next Grand Prix
race is Glenariff on 17 March (perhaps we should be running up Slemish
that day instead?)
The
European Championship this year (on 8 July) has a junior
team entry. The all-Ireland team will be selected at the European
Trial on 17th June in the Wicklow Mountains. Note that the Trial
start has been switched to the West side, at the bottom of Camara Hill
(as in a previous trial) & not as in the calendar. More info
on this will appear later.
