Slieve Gallion

Sat 27 September 2008 - Ian Taylor

The last local mountain race of the season is tomorrow over the Slieve Gallion course.  Over 4.5 miles with 380 metres of climb it is comparable to Hill & Dale races, suitable for all standards of athletes.  It is the final counter in the Grand Prix series.

The race starts at 11 am, with route directions now back on the web site under "Next Race" details.  Allow an hour for travelling if coming from Belfast.

Usually the race includes refreshments - come and enjoy the craic, the last chance to stretch your mountain legs and support races outside the Mournes area, in this case ably organised by Jonathan and Hugh McCloy, their family and the Mid-Ulster Club.
