Race start time: 12pm

The Watertown Wander is a 10 km race from Silent Valley dam, following the Mourne Wall up over Slievenaglogh before descending to the Banns Road, climbing old quarry tracks back to the Mourne Wall and returning to the trails at Silent Valley before finishing back on Silent Valley Dam.

 This race is a fundraiser for NIMRA to support mountain running in Northern Ireland. VJ Shoes and Pure Running will also be there running a trial day for VJ shoes – come along and try them out, even if you aren’t taking part in the race.

Parking: Silent Valley visitors car park (Note £5 charge, car sharing advised)

Equipment:

All runners must carry;

a) Whistle

b) Emergency rations equivalent to one mars bar (minimum)

c) Waterproof garments affording complete body protection

d) Hat, gloves and a foil blanket

e) Suitable footwear for a mountain race
