International Selection Criteria 2022

Anyone interested in being selected must be a NIMRA member

Inter-Counties

This event is on Saturday 7^th May, Llanberis – Eilio Ridge, Wales.

The courses will be marked and marshaled. Aproximately 12.6km/760m ascent/descent.

13:00 – please note later start time (there will be a joint start with the Moel Elio Fell Race but the Inter-Counties runners will be diverted at the top of Maesgwm path)

Start outside Snowdon (Plas Garnedd) care home.  Registration at  Padarn Lake Hotel (TBC) from 09:00am

Senior teams can comprise up to four competitors, except that a fifth runner may be included if at least one of the team is under 23. The first three from each team will count.

Selection criteria: Teams will be selected on current form normally based on at least one of the following:  Glenariff  12^th March, Fallows 19^th March, Castlewellan Hill & Dale 14^th April. Comparable races will also be considered to show current form but reason must be given for not competing in selection criteria races. Teams will be selected after 14^th April (Castlewellan Hill & Dale) and successful athletes contacted shortly after that.  Must register interest in selection before 14^th April by emailing Anne Sandford at annerunning@hotmail.co.uk.

Senior Home International Championships

This event is on Sunday 22 May 2022 in Alva, Clackmannanshire, Scotland

• TEAMS: 4 senior men, 4 senior women, 2 U23 men, and 2 U23 women (born within the years 1998-2000 inclusive). 
• DISTANCE/HEIGHT: Senior Men & Senior Women: approx. up to 18km
• Course as yet to be decided but will be an up and down course.

Selection criteria: Teams will be selected on current form normally based on at least one of the following:  Glenariff  12^th March, Fallows 19^th March, Castlewellan Hill & Dale 14^th April. Comparable races will also be considered to show current form but reason must be given for not competing in selection criteria races. International Snowdon Race

• DATE: Saturday 16th July.

• VENUE: Llanberis. Gwynedd. Wales
• TEAMS: 4 senior men and 4 senior women.
• 10 miles ascent/descent

Teams will be selected on current form normally based on at least three of the following: 19^th March The Fallows, 9^th April British Championship 7x7s race, 14^th May Slieve Donard & Senior Home International Sunday 22^nd May. Teams will be selected on Tuesday 24th May and successful athletes contacted shortly after that. Comparable races will also be considered to show current form but reason must be given for not competing in selection criteria races.
