Ben Nevis Race 2013
The annual pilgrimage to the Ben Nevis race took place this weekend. At NIMRA towers it is unknown how the race progressed suffice to say that Finlay Wild won for the forth time. The best placed Irish man was Stephen Cunningham in 7th place with a time of 1:41:35. The Steede reports that after beating his own best time to the top of The Ben by 2 minutes he once again got lost and dropped some time but still managed a respectable 22nd placing in 1:51:12. Mourne Runners Clive Bailey and Sam Herron also broke the 2 hour mark with times of 1:53:42 and 1:57:56, respectively. David Steele and Brendan Quail from Newcastle AC just touched under the 2 hour mark as well.
