International Races Selection Criteria 2018
INTER COUNTIES CHAMPIONSHIPS – Saturday 19th May 2018
Lads Leap, Derbyshire – Peak District, England – at 12 noon ladies, 1.15pm men.
9.5km race with 518m climb up & down race with both men & women competing over the same course.Teams of up to 5 runners with 3 to count for Senior Men and Women but the 5th member must be U23 and born in 1996-1998 inclusive.
Selection Criteria: current form up to and including Glenariff on 10th March, Fallows Race on 24th March & either Castlewellan (Hill & Dale) on 12th April or British Championship race on 14th April. Comparable races will also be considered to show current form and that distance and climb is relative to inter counties race but reason must be given for not competing in selection criteria races. SENIOR HOME INTERNATIONAL – Saturday 2nd June 2018
Sedbergh, Cumbria up and down race Arant Haw
Up to 6 senior men and 6 senior women of whom 2 are under 23 age group and born in 1996-1998 inclusive. Medals for teams given to the first 4 to count.
Men & Women 11km 730m ascent/descent (each lap 5.5k & 433m)
Teams will be selected on current form up to and including Glenariff, The Fallows, Castlewellan, Tullymore & Slieve Martin Hill & Dales. Please note you do not need to do all these races but a minimum of 3 to assess current form is essential. Comparable races will also be considered to show current form and that distance and climb is relative to Senior Home International race but reason must be given for not competing in selection criteria races. JEWSON INTERNATIONAL SNOWDON RACE Saturday 21st July 2018
Llanberis, Wales Men & Women 10 miles ascent/descent up and down race
4 senior men and 4 senior women. Medals for teams give to the first 3 to count.
Teams will be selected on current form up to and including Mourne Highline 14th April, Slieve Donard 12th May & Flagstaff 17th June. Comparable races will also be considered to show current form and that distance and climb is relative to Snowdon race but reason must be given for not competing in selection criteria races.You must register interest in selection up to 16th June by emailing Anne Sandford at annerunning@hotmail.co.uk.
