The Senior UK Inter-Counties Mountain Race is organised on behalf of the UK Counties Athletics Union by the Mountain Running Advisory Group Sub-Committee (MRAG) of UK Athletics. The 2024 UK Inter-Counties Senior Mountain Race will be held in Keswick (Cumbria) on Sunday 21st April.

Further details about these races can be found on the website: www.britishintercountiesfellrunningchampionships.wordpress.com

The courses will be marked and marshaled. 4 Senior Men + one U23 & 4 Senior Women + one U23 (born on or after 1/1/2002)

Age limits: A competitor counts as under 23 if they have not reached their 23rd birthday on the last day of the race year. Senior teams can comprise up to four competitors per UKCAU county or region, except that a fifth runner may be included if at least one of the team is under 23. The first three from each team will count.

There is no Under 23 team competition (but a team composed solely of under-23 runners will count in the Senior team category).

Only one team per UKCAU county or region is eligible to run in each category.

Medals for the Senior events are presented by the UKCAU for the first three teams, the first three individuals, and the first three Under 23 individuals. If an Under 23 runner comes in the first three places overall, they will receive both the Senior medal and the Under 23 medal.

For both Junior and Senior events medals are presented to all team members, including non-counters.
