2021 NIMRA Championship and Internationals

The Northern Ireland Mountain Running Association Championship will comprise of 9 races – see below (hopefully all going ahead) but the criteria will be 1 of each distance and 1 other of your choice, therefore 4 to count.

Short:         Short Race (tbc)

Scrabo – (Thursday 19th August)

Slieve Donard (Saturday 28th August)

Medium:    Carncastle – 12th June

The Fallows (Kilbroney) (Saturday 31st July)

                    Buzzards Roost (Saturday 25th September)            

Long:          Annalong Horseshoe (Saturday 3rd July)

                    Spelga Skyline (Saturday 17th July)

                    Seven Sevens (Saturday 14th August)

All races at present have online entries with no entries on the day and athletes should check NIMRA website for any other changes to race arrangements.

SENIOR HOME INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • DATE: Sunday 19th September
  • VENUE: Sedbergh, Cumbria
  • TEAMS: 4 senior men, 4 senior women, 2 U23 men, and 2 U23 women (born within the years 1998-2000 inclusive). 
  • DISTANCE/HEIGHT: Senior Men & Senior Women: approx. 12km
  • Course as yet to be decided but will be and up and down course.

Teams will be selected on current form normally based on at least one of the following:  Carncastle 12th June or The Fallows 31st July. Results in comparable races may also be used to demonstrate current form but reason must be given for not competing in one or both selection races. Teams will be selected on 31st July (after Fallows race) and successful athletes contacted shortly after that.
