Mourne Mountain Marathon Volunteer Request
This year’s event is rapidly approaching and once again we are looking to the mountain running
community to help us out. We could do with volunteers to help at the event centre on Saturday morning
and also at the finish line on Sunday so if you are free at those times we would be very appreciative of
your time. We also have some marshalling positions to fill on the Sunday.
One of our big problems each year is getting the control boxes off the hills on Sunday as we have to ship
them back to England on the Monday morning. If you fancy a training run and can collect a few controls
while exploring off the beaten track places, particularly if the weather is inclement (strangely less
volunteers turn up in bad weather!) that would be great.
