Leave No Trace

Today the NIMRA press department found a disposable BBQ abandoned at the side of the Bann Road with a bunch of food containers ‘cleverly’ hidden under a rock beside it. Needless to say, being good citizens we carried it back down the road and disposed of it appropriately.

I would imagine that most NIMRA readers do not have to be told twice to leave no trace, but it is a real bug bear of mine so I wish to raise the topic here.

When out and about always bring everything you brought with you back, this includes things like orange peel and banana skins which take years, not days, to decompose. Apart from being unsightly, rubbish can be harmful to habitats and animals. Always LEAVE NO TRACE.
